Popbox is an app for everyone who loves pop culture and wants to share that love with the world. All fandoms are welcome here, whether you’re into movies, comics, toys, music, sports or... anything else. We’re a community that shares common interests. We collect. We game. We go to conventions. We create fantastic cosplay. We obsess over the details. Popbox is the gateway to share and experience all of it together.
Maybe you just bought a vintage New Kids on the Block lunch box (no judgement) and want to show it off. You can post your photos for everyone to see. Or you have strong opinions about your favorite Final Fantasy characters and want to share your top ten picks. Create a list and share it as a post. Maybe you’re excited about an article you found discussing casting for the latest Marvel movie. You can post that, too.
While we may introduce a web presence in the future, the experience we’re building for Popbox is better suited for a mobile app. It’s easier to take photos, videos, and share on mobile than it is on a computer.
Popbox exists to share our love of pop culture. You’re less likely to see photos of someone’s lunch, unless that lunch consists of Scooby Snacks and Krabbie Patties. We’re also dedicated to keeping discussions focused on pop culture. So no screaming about the government, unless it’s about the downfall of the Galactic Republic.
Popbox wants to break the mold of social media awfulness. We have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, name-calling, doxing, bullying, or abuse of any kind. So... no jerks. We mean it. We’re here to support each other and share in our fandoms. Oh, and no gatekeeping who's a “real fan” of something. We hate that.
